Journey to Titanium Yoga
You have a plan for your life, right?
Your idea of what you will do and where you will live.
Then life throws you for a loop.
Life is an incredible journey.
Opening a yoga studio and becoming a yoga teacher was not on my radar.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit. I began my career working for startups, and it was a thrill. But at the same time, I was working to advance someone else’s dream – not my own.
After my accident, I had time to think about what came next. I remember telling my significant other that I wanted to wear yoga pants every day – half joking, because who doesn’t want to wear yoga pants every day? – but there was some truth to my statement.
That’s where yoga came in.
Yoga was the only thing that made me feel better, and I was hooked after my first class. I became obsessed with yoga, all the different types of classes and the different poses that came with them.
I wanted to try them all.
I feel bad for anyone who travels with me because if I see a yoga studio, we are stopping for a class. From a ski chalet in Europe to hip-hop classes in NYC, there is so much variety, and I hope to bring the best of those classes to Ponte Verde Beach!
I have to do yoga every day for the rest of my life, but that’s a much better life sentence than the wheelchair I was supposed to be in.
Living pain-free.
Helping others.
And wearing yoga pants every day.
This is MY dream now.
