Sacred Pause Yoga Retreat

November 06 – 10, 2026

Hosted by Tiffany Howard & Sarah Manson

There is a sacred space in between seasons — a slower rhythm, softer light, and the quiet invitation to simply be. Sacred Pause is a retreat devoted to this threshold, a time to honor the transition from fall into winter. In the stillness of the mountains, you’ll be guided to slow down, breathe deeply, and allow what is shifting within you to unfold naturally. Here, you are supported — by the earth beneath you, the community around you, and the steady presence of the mountains — as you rest, reflect, and move gently through this in-between season.

Flat Mountain Farm

Nourish your body and soul at Flat Mountain Farm, an exquisitely restored 28-acre mountain retreat in the Highlands of North Carolina. Once a historic rhododendron farm, this tranquil estate has been thoughtfully reimagined into a refined rustic hideaway where comfort and presence live in harmony.

Each of the three private cabin residences offers its own welcoming kitchen, living space, and outdoor porch — giving you quiet places to rest and room to connect. Here, days begin with gentle mountain light and end with wide-open skies, inviting you to slow down, breathe deeply, and settle into stillness.

Set amid wooded paths, ponds, and a serene natural landscape mere minutes from town, this property gives you direct access to peaceful mountain trails and breathtaking views of the surrounding Blue Ridge terrain. It’s a place meant for quiet exploration, inward reflection, and wholehearted rest.

Perched high in the southern Appalachian Mountains, Highlands is a charming mountain town known for its crisp air, cascading waterfalls, and sweeping Blue Ridge views. With elevations above 4,000 feet, the pace naturally slows here — mornings feel quieter, the light softer, and nature always close. Surrounded by forest trails, scenic overlooks, and a cozy yet refined downtown, Highlands offers the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and small-town warmth, especially in the stillness of late autumn.
